Follow through this link to a BBC article on new ways of selling yourself and check out the You tube video of an interactive CV. I think it's engaging and it obviously worked as he got a job ...

  1. I love this idea and am now thinking of how something like this could work for my business. More often than not I find clients need more information to inspire them and for them to realise all the different aspects of the company and the ways we can work for them. This has excited me as I think it could really work in introducing me and the work i do. Thank you for your post Rosemary I will be sure to show you the end result!

  5. I agree with the previous comments. I thought this guy was really innovative and certainly for his industry the style was really appropriate and dynamic. Interesting to hear from the boss as well to get an idea of what employers think of online CVs.

  6. Obviously agreeing with all the comments above. This was inspiring and a very good used of Web 2.0 technology. Besides it being less time consuming, publishing yourself shows your personality, body language and speech. Employers can hire the best person they need for the job without even an interview.
Its certainly a new way of finding work and in no time it will take of I think, leaving job centres and agencies with reduced work. Additionally I discovered that through my professional experience we do use technology to broadcast our work. My post on my own blog, explains about us using the Web 2.0 for personal profiles,YouTube and showreels. So we're enhancing our professional practice, Reading from the above we all seem to be doing the same thing. The results seem to work.
